Hi there.
Been trying to move a site created in localhost over to a live test site.
It’s sitting in a subdomain of the current site
Problem is, when i import the .zip file that was created, it doesnt update the site, instead i am back at the beginning of the word press instalation.. ie giving the site a name and setting up a user and password.

I’m trying to clone a WordPress site from a staging server to our live server using the “Restore from URL” option, while the restore seems to be successful in migrating themes and other files it does not update the database with posts and other content. I have downloaded the backup zip and checked to confirm that the database within is correct. There is no error upon executing the restore function either. Unfortunately I do not have access to the backend of the new site so I cannot restore the tables via PHPMyAdmin. What could be the problem?

This worked great to move hosts when I didn’t have FTP working. Saved me a lot of time.
I have used WP Clone to copy an existing site to a new one, but it does not work – I get this error with the plugins https://www.screencast.com/t/VpbSo1CDGcQ
When I visit the site after cloning, it takes me to the url of the original site (the site that the clone came from).
I have cloned this site lots of times before & it worked perfectly.
Any idea why, or how to fix this?
It sounds like a usable plugin but I was not able to use it because I do not have the ability to utilize a FTP client in my wordpress site. After following the directions and after several attempts for years now, I get stuck trying to get into the FTP client. Even though the directions seem to be simple, the system does not work as the steps are mentioned. Since I am unable to utilize a FTP client, I am unable to use this plugin and had to go with another one. Perhaps you should change these limitations of having to use a FTP client to migrate a site over to a new domain.

IIS wordpress site was able to generate backup and i was able to restore the site by the url.but when i copied cloned generated file on the Apache web site and i was able to clone the site to IIS hosted site and website look all good, but ” the issues is when i create the backup of the new site migrated from Apache web server to IIS server site wp clone is returning a blank screen.

I tried cloning the main website to a subdomain using the WP Clone plugin, but now I am locked out of the subdomain and get the following error: Logging in with WordPress.com is disabled for sites that are in staging mode. What can I do?
When I click on the link to the subdomain on the main domain it doesn’t do anything as if the link doesn’t even exist.

I might have to repair the database
After having done this these errors appears

I understand these are the tables missing in my database.
So I think I have to make a new installation, add these tables to
the database before I execute the clone.
But is this way of thinking correct? And can I just add tables to a database?
And exactly where do I add a Table.

Would be nice if it did not disable security plugins and remove the .htaccess file blocking several ip addresses.
Beside that there are several security problems to solve before it would be good.
I would like the responsibility to password protect the zip file generated i duplicated a site to several other sites but one gave problems and before i was finished my website where hacked and i was locked out from cPanel so i had to run a back from several hours earlier to gain access again.
And i had been using deny from all – allow from my ip on all new sites duplicating too unless the last because it would not allow.
That was offcourse because of the danish æøå in the domain name but still shows how vulnerable it is and how weak the security is of the plugin.
Hope this will be solved in later versions as it is easy and good in other ways.
After installing Loginizer plugin I’ve got the following error:
“Fatal error: Cannot declare class Math_BigInteger, because the name is already in use in /web/htdocs3/buddha_tarhu/home/subdoms/wp/wp-content/plugins/duplicator-clone/libs/phpseclib/Math/BigInteger.php on line 182”
I’ve used WP Clone by WP Academy for years and haven’t had any issue for the most part. It’s been a go to, lightweight, no nonsense plugin for migrating sites. Until I had to migrate a WordPress site with the WPML (WordPress Multi-lingual Plugin). The site was translated in Chinese and English, and when I moved things over with WP Clone, it choked, keeled over, and died. What a mess! Then I tried to manually move the DB over, something I’ve done x1000 times. But that didn’t work either. Chinese was effin’ things up. Then I found Duplicator. WPML support reps use it, so I gave it a try. It was a one shot, smooth as silk, no hiccups, multi-lingual migration. Boom! Awesome plugin guys!
I created a back up using wp-clone. It says successful but shows 2 errors and I don’t know if that means the backup is good or not.
The 2 lines are:

Hi I have a slight issue with a backup I am running, as its returning with all the plugins and images, but no data from the existing database:
Message:
Search and replace scanned 0 tables with a total of 0 rows. 0 cells were changed and 0 db updates were performed in 0.000007 seconds.
I have exported the database from phpMyAdmin and overwritten the db in the backup zip file and then transferred it via ftp, but this still returns with the above message.
Any help would be appreciated.
I LUV this plugin but haven’t used it for a long time and noticed that it hasn’t been updated in a long time. I see that currently it’s tested up to 4.7.10.

Mai provata la sensazione di brivido quando, dopo aver aggiornato un tema, il tuo sito ha perso tutte le formattazioni? Beh, se PRIMA DI AGGIORNARE IL TEMA fai un backup completo con questo plugin, tornare indietro alla versione precedente sarà questione di pochi minuti. Direi che ha salvato la vita dei miei siti più di una volta.
I created a backup using WP Clone by WP Academy plugin and downloaded the zip file. Now i have made the same site up on a different hosting and I have the backup as .zip in my macbook available. I am unable to get the website up 
Tried putting it in cpanel and extracting. and there is no option in WP Clone plugin to restore from file, only restore from url is there – tried putting the zip file in cpanel and restoring from url by putting – http://www.xyz.com/backupname.zip but that is a failure. What to do?
It Was Great Plugin But Sometimes It Dose Not Work.
Nice and handy app for website clone, in case you want to migrate from one hosting server to another. Or replicate a website completely.
